PokeBonk Classic vs Survival

Classic and Survival use different run structures. In the current client, Classic is described as zones, guardians and a shrine; Survival is an endless mode built around hordes and milestones. Regions and difficulty are separate choices made on the same preparation screen.

Route-based

Classic

Three zones, one guardian per zone and a region shrine.

Endless

Survival

Escalating hordes and milestones without a fixed Classic route.

Step 1

Choose the run structure first

Classic gives the run a region-based route. The preparation screen shows three zones, one guardian selected per zone and a region shrine. Survival removes that fixed Classic route and is labeled Endless, with hordes and milestones.

  • Choose Classic when you want a visible route through zones and guardian objectives.
  • Choose Survival when you want an endless time-and-milestone run.
  • Changing the mode does not change which partner is selected.

Step 2

Regions are not numbered stages

Beta v0.8.26 shows Viridian Forest, Rocky Desert, Storm Coast and Celestial Glacier as named regions. Two additional slots are marked for a future season. The game describes zones inside a Classic region; this guide does not invent Stage 1 or Stage 2 pages.

  • Viridian Forest: Grass, Bug, Normal and Flying are displayed on the region card.
  • Each visible region has its own current unlock state.
  • Read the current region card because seasonal availability can change.
Step 3

Difficulty is a separate decision

Normal, Hard and Nightmare appear beneath the mode selector. The current screen shows different Stardust multipliers and enemy modifiers. Pick the difficulty after the region and mode, and rely on the live values rather than an old screenshot.

Step 4

Events are labeled separately

Lavender Tower Night appears as a time-limited event on the v0.8.26 main menu. It is not treated as a permanent third core mode or a normal region. This site will not create a permanent event guide until the rules and availability can be preserved with dated evidence.
